Kelly Limbaugh was an RBI machine on Monday, driving in five on three hits to lead Ayersville Pilots Softball – Varsity past Columbus Grove 15-5 on Monday. Limbaugh drove in runs on a single in the second, a double in the third, and a home run in the fourth.

Columbus Grove scored three runs in the fourth inning, but Ayersville Pilots still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Columbus Grove came thanks to a double by Utendorf and a double by Stechschulte.

Columbus Grove got on the board in the first inning when Langhals doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Ayersville pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Mikala Schindler doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Chelsea Porter doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Limbaugh singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, and Kaylor Martin doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Ayersville tallied eight runs in the third inning. The Pilots offense in the inning came from singles by Martin and Schindler, by Rylee Barnett and Porter, and a double by Limbaugh.

Schindler pitched for Ayersville. Schindler lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out four.

Mershmon took the loss for Columbus Grove. The bulldog surrendered 15 runs on 13 hits over three and a third innings, striking out six.

Ayersville smacked one home run on the day. Limbaugh had a four bagger in the fourth inning.

Ayersville tallied 13 hits. Schindler, Limbaugh, Porter, Martin, and Hailey Bok each racked up multiple hits for the Pilots . Limbaugh and Schindler each managed three hits to lead Ayersville Pilots.

Columbus Grove scattered eight hits in the game. Zimmerly, Utendorf, and Stechschulte all collected multiple hits for Columbus Grove.
