Ayersville fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 5-2 loss to North Baltimore on Monday. North Baltimore took the lead on an error in the second inning.
North Baltimore opened up scoring in the second inning, when an error scored two runs for North Baltimore.
North Baltimore scored three runs in the sixth inning. M Westgate and H Lennard all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
A Loera earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for North Baltimore. Loera allowed two hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 15.
Hailey Johnson took the loss for Ayersville Pilots Softball. The pitcher went six innings, allowing 2 runs on four hits and striking out nine.
Kelly Limbaugh and Mikala Schindler each collected one hit to lead Ayersville Pilots Softball.
North Baltimore didn’t commit a single error in the field. Westgate had 16 chances in the field, the most on the team.
